Burning Letters

They never told me how horrible it is,

When someone's feelings fade,

When you can't make them love you like before.

When they are too afraid to say,

"I don't love you anymore"

"I can't do this anymore"

Without hurting someone's feelings.

They get tired of you,

Your text turn into forced and meaningless conversation,

Everything that you said turns into unwanted arguments.

They stop asking about your days anymore,

You know you start to lose them,

When they only come to you when they need help.

When you both meet?

There's nothing to talk about,

You can't even look at each other.

When you get mad,

They didn't bother to stop you or chase you.

All you can do is choke up in tears and accept the reality.

When you try to communicate through phone,

All you can hear is long sighs and dissapointments,

I guess,

That's what Feelings Fade is all about.

It's not the breakup that hurts the most,

It's the Post Trauma that follows it,

It is constantly waking up and checking your phone,

For the message that isn't there.
